Russian groom kills bride on wedding day
A man, Stepan Dolgikh,25, brutally killed his bride Oksana Poludentseva,36, on the day of their wedding in October. Stepan had suspected her of having affairs and cheating on him. Infuriated by this, he went on to beat her wife to death in front of the crowd of guests attending their wedding. Stepan has now been sentenced to 18 years.

France is struggling with another heatwave for the third time. The temperatures have been as high as 40 degrees Celsius. The rising temperatures have resulted in the issue of ‘Orange’ alert in twenty-six departments. Except for the northeastern regions, the entire country is expected to be suffering from the heat.

The energy bills have been soaring up , leading inflation to an all-time high in the country. This has stirred up competition between the Prime Minister candidate; former chancellor Rishi Sunak and foreign secretary Rishi Sunak.

The Bank of England has warned that the UK is currently living on the edge. The economy is on the verge of falling into recession in the last quarter of 2022 and will further continue to shrink in 2023. The Bank of England has increased the rates of interest that have been the highest in last 27 years.
Three guilty in murder attempt of teenager in Birmingham
UK: Two men, Zidann Edwards and Diago Anderson and a teenager, were found guilty of attempting murder of a teenage boy. The 13-year-old boy had been shot, that left him in a paralysed condition. The teenager was reportedly shot from a homemade gun, and attack was totally unprovoked. The trio was found guilty on 2nd August at Birmingham Crown Court.
