British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak met with the British troops stationed all over Estonia and Poland as part of operation Cabrit during his visit to the Tapa Army Base in Estonia.
Mr Sunak was seen serving Christmas dinner to the soldiers and engaging in in-depth conversations with them while in a happy mood, accompanied by Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas.
He appreciated their sacrifice because they once more had to be away from their loved ones and families to protect the borders and surrounding nations threatened by persistent Russian aggression.
Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began 303 days ago, there is now a greater risk of a disastrous War breaking out between Russia and the NATO allies.
As everyone heads back to their homes to enjoy the Christmas festival, Prime Minister Sunak expressed his sympathy for the soldiers still on duty. He expressed his gratitude for their “sacrifice” and “amazing” service during the year, allowing UK citizens to go to sleep at night fear-free despite the country’s challenges.
The full force of war has returned to our continent this year, and Sunak stated, “I am incredibly proud of the selfless dedication and bravery of our Armed Forces who responded to that threat to keep the UK and our friends safe.”
He also emphasised that the UK would expand the number of supplies it sends to Estonia and the number of military drills it conducts there.
Several military personnel worldwide, not just British soldiers, are not going home and giving priority to their duties. It is essential to appreciate their work and sacrifice.
The French President, Emmanuel Macron, also visited the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaule to acknowledge the French Navy’s obligation to protect the waters by staying away from home for Christmas.
While visiting the deck of the aircraft carrier, where 20 Rafale fighter jets were positioned, President Emannuel also got a taste of life aboard an aircraft carrier. He also complimented the French soldiers who remained aboard the ship and prioritised serving their country and particular duty.
