UK: Animal Charity Organisation Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue recently shared a heartwarming story of their little princess Nikita. She was rescued from a life of breeding in Germany. She has been suffering from an aggressive malignant tumour.
Reportedly, Geordie Bellie Springboard Rescue Organisation is a UK-based Charity and Nonprofit Organisation aiming to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome. It aims to educate people about dogs, their personalities, behaviours and needs.
Recently, the Organisation has come forward to share Nikita’s story.
Nikita came to them, rescued from a life of breeding in Germany, where they knew she had around five litters.
When she arrived, the Geordie Bullies noticed her undercarriage was very baggy, obviously from constantly being bred. Her foster parents, Sue and Stephen, almost immediately found a lump on her tummy right between her nipples.
This lump was literally growing in front of her foster’s eyes. It became tough, and the skin almost looked like it would burst from ulceration.
After a period of specific tests and a biopsy, Geordie’s vet confirmed it was a fast-growing, aggressive malignant tumour and gave Nikita six weeks to live.
This Tumour has been a cruel blow to the beautiful six-year-old little Nikita after spending most of her life bred to make the greeders rich.
A year after Ailment in December, the brave warrior princess, Nikita, had still enjoyed a pleasant life with Sue, Stephen, and her fur sister Bobbi.
Further, Geordie Bullies shared that Nikita still enjoys a little toddle out on the moors and has discovered that she loves a good ole chomp.
“This little girl has defied all the odds. With fire in her belly for happiness, she has clung onto her dream of living a new and happy life, a little bit longer AND with the tender loving care provided by her foster parents, her dream has been fulfilled,” they noted while sharing her story.
The Geordie Bullie remarked their fosters who have opened their hearts and homes to a rescue dog. They also gave them a second chance at a happy life.
They also hugely thanked Sue and Stephen for taking great care of Nikita.
While sharing about Nikita, Geordie Bullie said, “Her coat is healthy and shiny, and she looks amazing.”
“Nikita couldn’t have asked for a more loving home, and we couldn’t have wished for a better foster family.”
“We can only imagine how hard this must be, knowing the outcome but not when. But we do know that she has all the love and care she needs and the best months of her life to live with you and Bobbi,” they continued.
The Geordie Bullies thanked the fosters again for giving Nikita the best of themselves. They also urged people to support their fosters and their pups. They also urged them to join their Community Rescue Group.
