St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew informed about his safe arrival in New York via American Lines on Thursday, September 21, 2023. He also extended his pleasure to mark the 40th Independence Celebration of St Kitts and Nevis.
As per the Update, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis has recently arrived in New York to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly and represent the people of St Kitts and Nevis.
While informing the people about his visit to New York City, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew also extended his pleasure to mark the 40th Independence Celebration. He also urged people to be patient and grateful for their nation.
“Thank you for a marvellous Independence 40 celebration. We deserved it! The Independence Reset is for you, the people. Let us be grateful and patient with its rollout as this has never been done before,” he added.
Further, he also asked all their institutions to have patience and shared that this Reset of their nation has been possible through good management and hard work.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance also thanked the Cabinet for its hard work. He also highlighted several sectors of his nation to extend his gratitude and pride to them.
He mentioned to achieve benefits, visit SKELEC – St. Kitts Electricity Co. Ltd, the Water Services Department, and NHC St. Kitts.
Furthermore, he also shared some information about the Social Security Board of St Kitts and Nevis. He added that the worker’s bonus through the Social Security Board St. Kitts and Nevis will apply to all who have contributed 26 payments or 6 to 7 months to the Social Security Fund.
In conclusion, He mentioned that their workers have worked hard to achieve and build their independent democracy. He also emphasised people to redouble their efforts and shared that one must work hard to secure many more years.
