Analysts predict the central bank will lower the rate from 4.75% to 4.5% in response to slowing economic growth and inflationary trends.

Similarly, households on variable-rate mortgages may benefit as lenders face pressure to adjust their rates accordingly. However, those on fixed-rate deals will not see an immediate impact, though future borrowers may secure more favorable terms if rate cuts continue.
