Ayrshire, UK: The Woody and Tattie Scone Club has successfully displayed teamwork and dedication at the Fossilfield Training Centre. The Team has been named Team of the Month in the Sports Challenge Heroes 6 event.
This month, the Woody & Tattie Scone Club showcased their exceptional ability to collaborate seamlessly as they tackled routine stable chores, grooming, and tacking up their ponies—all while maintaining a cheerful spirit that underlines the importance of camaraderie.
The Woody and Tattie Scone Club is a haven for individuals embarking on their equestrian journeys or seeking to bolster their confidence in horsemanship skills.
This unique club combines hands-on pony care with group riding lessons, providing a fun and affordable experience that paves the way for those aspiring to make pony riding a cherished hobby or to progress into the grassroots Race Training Program.
One of the club’s distinguishing features is its commitment to nurturing young talent. Trainee coaches can explore and share their expertise with younger members, all under the watchful guidance and supervision of the Senior Coach.
Adding to their accomplishments, the Woody & Tattie Scone Club also took part in the Cash for Kids West Scotland, West FM Sports Challenge. During this charitable endeavour, they managed to raise approximately £200 by filling Smarties tubes with 20 pence coins and completing an impressive 5-mile sponsored walk.
This outstanding combination of teamwork, dedication to equestrian education, and community involvement has earned the Woody & Tattie Scone Club recognition as Team of the Month and Sports Challenge Heroes.
Their commitment to their members and the broader community is commendable, exemplifying the spirit of unity and goodwill.
Recently, Sports Challenge Hero #5 – Young Rider Ethan has successively completed a 9km round trip from Greenan Castle to Ayr Harbour and back for the Fossilfield Training Centre Cash for Kids West Scotland Sports Challenge.
Ethan has attended equine-facilitated therapy sessions where he has demonstrated a natural ability to perform a rising trot.
He regularly rides the retired racehorses, making Macho Pride a firm favourite. He has joined the Fossilfield’s jockey club, where he is now fine-tuning his skills on our racehorse simulator.
