Woman denies allegations of murdering and assaulting man in Cardiff Crown Court

The woman denied the allegation of murdering a man and rejected the claims of assaulting a woman. Rebecca Press, in Court during the trial at Cardiff Crown Court, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Richard Marc Ash.

Marc Ash was found dead at New Tredegar Marc Arsh at 12:40 on July 17. The officers and paramedics tried to revive Richard Marc Ash, but later, he was declared dead. Later to that, Caerphilly was arrested and charged with murder.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to a count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in respect of a woman named Michelle Chapman, announced by  Rebecca Press.

Press remained in custody to appear at the next court date on November 22, 2022. Her trial will take place on January 9, 2022. The following year is estimated to last between two and three weeks.

“Richard Marc was an introverted, lovely person. My wife and I were blessed to be his parents. All those who knew Richard Marc have nothing but praise for the man he was. He was lovely, and we will always remember him as such.” sad Ash’s parents. Ash’s parents also paid tribute to their deceased son.

A spokesperson of Gwent Police announced that they had launched a murder investigation, and a 31-year-old woman from Caerphilly was arrested on suspicion of murder. In addition, the spokesperson said that they are not looking for a suspect who is connected to this incident at this moment.
