Winsford, United Kingdom: Charity and Nonprofit Organisation St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice is pleasured to thank their Volunteer Pat. She has been working with the Organisation since 2013.
She has volunteered at every Midnight Walk, countless other events and at the Hospice Reception over the years, being the most welcoming face and helpful hand.
St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice is a leading charity Organisation in Winsford, United Kingdom. It has been running since 1988. The Organisation is dedicated to providing care and support for people.
These services are closely related to life-limiting conditions, ensuring that they get the care they need when needed within their local community.
Recently, the Organisation has come together to honour and recognise their oldest volunteer, Pat. In negotiations with Volunteer Pat, St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice, she shared her experience.
Pat said, “I became involved with the Hospice through my job as PA to the Dean of Faculty at the Crewe Campus of MMU.
The Hospice was the faculty’s chosen charity, and we were amazed at the amount of funding that had to be generated daily to keep the Hospice running. I decided that when I retired in 2013, it would be my chosen charity and that I would become a volunteer.
I have found this very rewarding, being a friendly face at Reception and on event registrations and meeting so many lovely people who attend events to support the Hospice. I particularly like challenging myself to raise as much as possible at events’ raffles!”
She has now also recruited her sister (pictured on the right), who lives in Anglesey, to volunteer at the Midnight Walk. They can’t wait to volunteer again next year. St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice extended their pleasure and thanked her for all her help.
“you make our events extra special,” they asserted.
