Temperatures across the UK have been significantly falling down with strong winds all over the nation.
The Met Office announced that the cold front is moving southwards. The office anticipates that moving southwards will bring cold wind and showers. At the same time, the cold wind coming from the north will lead to a decrease in temperature.
From today Scotland could witness temperatures as low as 9C (48.2F), while England, Wales and Northern Ireland are expected to be a slightly warmer 12C (53.6F).
The meteorologist Alex Burkill stated that the temperatures are expected to drop in the coming days.
The meteorologist, Alex Burkill, added that “I think Sunday night into Monday is going to be a bit chilly for some, but because of the cloud, the rain, the strong winds, temperatures won’t drop too much. I think it’s going to be from Monday onwards when we’re going to see the real cooler feel.”
The cold blast will see temperatures decrease below the September average, with winds as well as rain bringing a blast of autumn turbulence, say the Met Office.
Meteorologist Aidan McGivern mentioned in the statement, “It will feel rather autumnal at times, and at the start of next week we have northerly winds which will bring a chill across the UK.” autumn turbulence, say the Met Office.
Meteorologist Aidan McGivern in a statement said that: “It will feel rather autumnal at times, and at the start of next week, we have northerly winds which will bring a chill across the UK.”
On Sunday, central and southern parts were seen to get dry with sunny spells.
Northern parts of the United Kingdom will witness cloudy skies with a few showers, and then things will turn wet and windy across northern Scotland with Wales in the far north.
As we move into the first few days of the week, the band of rain will clear quickly, with cooler, showery weather following.
However, it doesn’t look like the UK will be any dryer on Tuesday and Wednesday, with showers or some longer spells of rain on the cards.
