The people eligible to get the first dose of a booster vaccination are frontline health and social care workers aged between five to fourty nine.
(JCVI) Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation advised the Government that booster dose campaigns should be organised in Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Adults aged eighteen and over are eligible for booster doses and will be offered the Moderna vaccine, with younger people receiving the Pfizer vaccine.
The booster doses will be offered to the people with three months of vaccination gap and administered in GP surgeries and vaccination centres.
The people are requested not to contact their GP and wait for their text message and letter from the local health board.
Whereas before the end of the year, around 1.5m eligible people will be offered a free flu vaccine.
Health Minister Eluned Morgan said, “Our winter respiratory vaccination programme will help protect the most vulnerable in our communities from flu and coronavirus”.
In addition, Health Minister Eluned Morgan said that everyone working in the NHS and other organisations would once again lead efforts to protect the most vulnerable”.
Health Minister praised that the vaccinations had an extraordinary impact on the course of the pandemic, and They have saved countless lives and given us the freedom and confidence to restart our lives.
In England, the autumn booster campaign is due to start following Monday, with care home residents and housebound people the first to get jabs.
