The Women for Women International Organisation, on marking the “Make a Difference Day 2023”, celebrated the incredible women at the heart of their Organisation and those whom they serve,
They recognised the women’s support and unwavering determination to rise above their circumstances and become agents of positive change in their communities, inspiring the whole world.
They’ve become entrepreneurs, mentors, leaders, and so much more.
They shared that the women they serve embody the idea that individuals can inspire transformative change.
Further, they recognised the crucial role women play in peacebuilding, both on the macro and micro levels.
The Women for Women International Organisation emphasised the programmes they have created to support their women.
They shared that their Programmes intentionally bring together diverse groups of women to build connections across ethnic, sectarian and religious divides to reduce tensions and work toward common goals to help communities move forward after conflict.
Further, they also shared some facts to learn more about why women need to be included more in peace negotiations. They also shared some information to learn about how women in their programmes are working to build peace in their own communities.
