Wed and Prosper UK – a wedding planning company, has been shortlisted for the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Awards 2023, which will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Cowes Yacht Haven, England.
The event management company is run by the Calmond sisters, Carrie and Rachel, who are Wedding planners, stylists and prop hire specialists. Following their nomination, they felt delighted and took to Facebook to announce the development. They said, “When you open an email to say you’ve made it to the shortlist of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Awards, that’s a happy Friday.”
The nominations for the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Awards 2023, sponsored by WightFibre, have been announced. Over 40 Island businesses are shortlisted in 15 categories, and the winners will be announced and honoured at a glittering ceremony which will be hosted by Shappu Khorsandi – a comedian and TV star. The prestigious glass awards will be given to winners on May 12.
Wed and Prosper added that they applied for the Micro Business of the Year Award sponsored by Gurit and didn’t expect to get through.
“Carrie completed the application form, which relied upon telling the judges about your business and selling yourself, which Carrie hates doing! Thank you to the judges for recognising our hard work, determination and passion for what we do; we love our business and weddings. After the last few weeks of 24/7 getting ready for the new season, this really couldn’t have come at a better time to give us a boost,” wrote the sisters.
Furthermore, in their message, they thanked their clients without whom they wouldn’t have a business and be able to do what they love.
“The awards ceremony takes place on May 12, and it’s the only weekend of the season we don’t have a single wedding, so we will be there alongside all the other amazing nominees,” concluded Wed and Prosper sisters.
