The NHS Trust, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire honoured Ciby Jose for achieving the latest DAISY Award. The DAISY Awards are a globally recognised scheme which allows people to celebrate incredible nurses and midwives through patient nominations.
The Unversity Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire fund them. The UHCW recognised Ciby Jose’s efforts and honoured her for achieving this milestone.
Ciby was a Registered Nurse and Renal Day Unit Manager. She was recognised by a patient for her quick reactions and calm, attentive nature during a sudden medical emergency.
The UHCW also shared her nomination in which a patient expressed:Â
“Ciby was always there to support me mentally and ensure I’m comfortable and had everything I needed after being admitted for an overnight stay.
“When I woke up the following morning, I felt something was wrong, so I called for help.
“Ciby was next to me immediately, and she quickly recognised that I was suffering an internal bleed, so she began applying pressure to the swollen area.
“I’m terrified to imagine what could have happened without Ciby’s quick reaction.
“She deserves recognition for everything she does for her patients while being kind and always having a smile on her face.”
Further, while concluding Ciby’s nomination, UHCW urged people to nominate one of their nurses or midwives through their official Website:Â https://www.uhcw.nhs.uk/daisy-nomination/
