Hoy shared that Even after living in London for 22+ years, he still found it surprising every year that Mother’s Day is celebrated on different days around the world. as in the United Kingdom, it is also known as ‘Mothering Sunday’…and is always the fourth Sunday in Lent…which is usually at some point in March. In America (and over 90 other countries), it is always celebrated on the second Sunday of May.
Patrick Found this culture of celebrating Mother’s Day cool and told how people he got to celebrate Mother’s Day twice a year. He stated, “I feel that’s pretty cool because it means that I get to celebrate my mother TWICE a year and trust me, she’s worth celebrating at least that much each year.”
Patrick, on this second Sunday of May 2023, also asked people to help him with his gorgeous mother – Ann Burns Hoy- wishing him a very Happy Mother’s Day and all the other wonderful mothers across America. Patrick added, “I’ve found that life doesn’t come with a manual when you’re born; instead, it comes with a mother.”
He also found the moment to express his gratitude to her mother and thanked his Mom for being the BEST guide any guy could ask for. As the pictures he showed on his social media, he added, “Your love has been with me since day one…and has steered me across the world…and for that, I am forever grateful to you. I love you very much and hope you enjoy celebrating everything YOU!”
