Orkney’s Health and Social Care Partnership and NHS Orkney seek to recruit a Head of Primary Care Services. He must have experience leading and developing complex change and improvement programmes effectively with staff, staff organisations, and independent contractors.
The Integration Joint Board has been delivering services across the islands using innovative approaches supported by the integration agenda in remote and rural settings.
The Partnership want to build on its values-based reputation of working closely with people who use services, their Carers, communities, and partners in other sectors, and to develop services that are sustainable and fit for the future of Orkney.
To do this, The NHS Orkney is looking for someone with experience in commissioning Primary Care Services and contract management. They seek someone who will lead and manage staff to deliver high-quality services.
The post holder will play specific roles in the Organisation. He will lead in communicating openly with Primary Care contractor colleagues. He would also work to promote clinical involvement in the delivery and management of services and represent Primary Care Services.
The Primary Health Care Head would also form collective opinions to the Orkney Health and Social Care Partnership, NHS Orkney and outside agencies. Work is progressing to develop a Service Manager (Primary Care) post supporting the post holder.
