United Kingdom: The Member of Parliament for Luton North, Sarah Owen, featured Kojo Karate Kai on Small Business Saturday. The MP features small businesses of her constituency every Saturday through her official Facebook account.
While appreciating the small business, MP Owen said, “Run out of the brilliant Bushmead Community Centre, the wonderful Kieran has been involved in karate since the age of 8 years old and has been running the club since 2014. Both junior and mixed sessions are offered every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. All ages and walks of life are welcome, and the first two sessions are free for you to go along and try it out.”
She added that it may have been 20 years since she last put on her Gi, but Kieran was extraordinarily patient and certainly put her through her paces.
“It was brilliant to return to my childhood and teen years and practice some karate moves again! Rest assured, no students (or Senseis) were harmed during this session,” added Sarah Owen.
The main aim of the Kojo Karate Kai club is to pass on knowledge, create more confidence and improve mentality and well-being.
The MP asked her followers to click the link for more information and contact details – https://bushmeadhub.co.uk/whats-on/fit-hub/kojo-karate-kai-1.
She said she does a shoutout to small businesses across Luton North every Saturday.
“We have so many fantastic small businesses in the town, who are a part of our amazing community, and they deserve some, so if you know any in Luton North that would like to be a part of the small business Saturday, shoutouts – email me sarah.owen.mp@parliament.uk,” concluded the MP.
While expressing their gratitude to the MP, Kojo Karate Kai said, “Sarah Owen MP, it was a pleasure having you attend and getting right into it, showing off the abilities you had previously learned. Having trained and taught from Bushmead Community Hub, it’s great to have their support and a great location to put on these sessions.”
