British Conservative Party Politician and Member of Parliament for High Peak, Robert Largan, took to his official social media handle to express his gratitude and pleasure over receiving the extra funding of £2,291,718 for schools in High Peak, which also came up as a part of £2 billion this year and next for primary schools and secondary schools across England.
As per the update shared by MP Robert, every state school in England will receive extra cash. A typical primary school will receive an additional £35,000, and a standard secondary will receive £200,000 as a fund.
In total, the school’s budget will be £58.8 billion in 2024–2025, with the Government putting more funding into schools than ever before, and school funding is set to rise in real terms in both 2023–24 and 2024–25.
Schools will receive their first payment by 10 May 2023 and can choose how best to invest the extra funding, including to pay for teacher salary uplifts and teaching assistants. The remainder of the £2 billion will be used to increase Pupil Premium funding rates, rising by 5% in 2023–24.
This comes from the extra cash our local schools get as part of Derbyshire being an Education Investment Area. On this, MP Robert expressed his pleasure and gratitude to the Government of the United Kingdom and shared that the Government is rightly investing record amounts to deliver a world-class education, giving children the education they need to succeed, and added, ” I’ll keep standing up for local schools!”
