UK: MP Priti Patel receives Damehood award, feels honoured


British Conservative Party Politician and Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, Priti Patel, felt honoured and Grateful to receive a Damehood award for working in Public service and as a Home Secretary of State for International Development.

British Conservative Party Politician and Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, Priti Patel, who has also served as a Secretary of State for International Development in 2016-17, and as a Home Secretary from 2019 to 2022, while expressing her gratitude and pleasure over receiving an award of Damehood (DBE) reached out to her official social media handle on Friday, June 9, 2023, and shared that she is humbled and pleasured by the recognition she received over her work as is deeply grateful to serve the people of her constituency and the country.


As per the Updates, Priti Patel, who has been serving as the Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, has served the people of Witham Constituency since 2010 and is professionally bestowed for her socially conservative stances. MP Priti Patel, after being awarded a Damehood (DBE) for her consistent work and efforts to serve the lives of people of her constituency and as a Home Secretary, extended her heartfelt feelings and pleasure for being recognised for her work shared a post on her social media handle quoted “It has been the honour of my life to serve as the Member of Parliament for Witham for the last 13 years and in Government as Home Secretary.”

Further, she also added that “I have always believed in the importance of public service, and it has been a privilege to deliver on our commitments to make our country safer by backing our police with new investment and laws, reforming our immigration and asylum system, and fighting terrorism”.

“I continue to share my gratitude to our police, law
enforcement agencies, intelligence services, and the many brave and courageous people who serve our country and keep us safe. I am deeply humbled for this recognition of my work and grateful to have served the people of Witham,” she added.
