He said, “Yesterday marked the opening of the 99th year of the Southport Flower Show since its inception in 1924. I had the privilege to be invited to attend festivities in one of the grand marquees that saw stakeholders from across Southport come together to celebrate another successful year.”

Reportedly, Southport Flower Show is one of the town’s most significant and anticipated events. As the country’s largest independent event of its kind, it demonstrates the wealth of potential Southport has to offer when local people are given the freedom to organise events for the benefit of the town and its residents.

During the event, he also met the show organisers and the constituency members and explored various activities.

Further, MP Damien added, “Taking the time to view all the installations, it was clear that, along with the clear weather, the strong show of landscapes and vendors had drawn large numbers to attend.”

He also shared that It was fantastic to walk through the event and meet with numerous members of the public and local business owners, many of which had first-rate produce on offer and first-rate displays.

As yet another part of Southport’s rich history, the Southport Flower Show continues to impress. He also extended his hope that this festival will draw further crowds into the weekend.
