Liz Truss wins the Conservative Party leadership election and will be the next UK prime minister.

Liz Truss beats Rishi Sunak and is announced as the new Prime Minister of the UK; and will be appointed as Prime Minister of the UK on Tuesday by Queen in Scotland.

Liz truss, the new PM of the UK, said that poised to take power when the country faces a cost of living crisis, industrial unrest and a recession.

Liz Truss has become the third woman elected the United Kingdom prime minister. She has defeated Indian-origin Rishi Sunak by nearly 20,000 votes.

Liz Truss tweeted on her official Twitter account thanking all the people who supported her throughout her journey and also announced that she had won the official leadership of the Conservative party and will be appointed as new Prime Minister on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Liz Truss will travel to Scotland to attend the meeting with Queen Elizabeth. This year Queen will not be able to travel to London due to mobility issues. The appointment meeting will be held on Tuesday in Scotland.

After weeks of Summer, results were announced on Monday at 12:30 BST. Liz Truss will now replace the Long front runner in the race to substitute Johnson since a 2015 election. Liz Truss will be the Conservatives’ fourth Prime Minister.

The country has been facing the crisis for a long time, leading to a prolonged recession triggered by skyrocketing inflation, which hit 10.1 per cent in July.

Forty-seven-year-old Liz truss was foreign minister under Boris Johnson. Liz Truss has promised to tackle all the problems and Living crises in the country.

Truss said that within a week, she would devise a plan to tackle rising energy bills and secure future fuel supplies.
