The United Kingdom-based Medical Service Centre called Dunrobin Street Medical Centre urged people to go sober for a whole month to support Macmillan Cancer Support. They also emphasised adopting positive ways and raising funds for the cause.
Reportedly, the Dunrobin Street Medical Centre, located in Stoke-on-Trent Constituency, aims to provide medical care and facilities to the Stoke-on-Trent community and the rest of the surrounding areas.
The Dunrobin Street Centre has recently marked this month to support Macmillan Cancer Support, an organisation to help people with cancer – emotionally, physically and financially.
They also emphasised that supporting Macmillan is not just about giving up alcohol. Instead, it’s about making a positive change while raising funds for an incredible cause.
They also shared some reasons to go sober this month and make a huge difference together. The reasons are as follows:
– Healthier You: Taking a break from alcohol can improve your overall health. You’ll give your liver and body a chance to recover.
– Better Sleep: Without alcohol disrupting your sleep patterns, you’ll enjoy more restful nights and wake up feeling refreshed.
– Clearer Mind: Alcohol can cloud your judgment and mental clarity. Going sober can lead to improved focus and decision-making.
– More Energy: Say goodbye to those sluggish mornings. Sobriety often brings increased energy levels, helping you be more productive.
– Weight Control: Alcoholic beverages can be calorie-heavy. Going sober can help you manage your weight more effectively.
– Financial Savings: Cutting out alcohol can lead to significant savings in your monthly budget.
– Stronger Relationships: Sobriety can improve communication and help build stronger, more meaningful connections with loved ones.
– Supporting a Cause: Going sober for October allows you to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping people affected by cancer.
