UK-based Comedian Ali Woods lived his dream last week by performing at the stage of The Comedy Store, being nominated for his first comedy award by Leicester Comedy Festival and getting a gig at Islington Assembly Hall for the Angel Comedy Turkey & Syria fundraiser.
Ali Woods is a half-English, half-Scottish comedian, podcaster as well as content creator.
To express his happiness, the comedian took to social media and said, “Last week, I truly lived my dream.”
He explained his week and highlighted, “Got to do my first weekend at The Comedy Store, which felt surreal. I remember wishing one day I could be on this stage, and now I’m just one of the comedians that play there. Nominated for my first comedy award by Leicester Comedy Festival for a new show I’ve started working on, madness.”
He expressed happiness over his nomination at the Leicester Comedy Festival and said, “Gassed to be nominated for Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival! A man walked into my show thinking it was the toilet, then watched for 10 minutes cause he wanted a break from his wife’s friends. I dedicate this nomination to him.”
The comedian further highlighted his week as amazing and added, “And also got to gig at the amazing Islington Assembly Hall for the Angel Comedy Turkey & Syria fundraiser with acts I used to grow up watching on TV. It’s been loads of work to get to this point, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
While appreciating and thanking his supporters, the comedian said, “Thank you so much to everyone who comes to my shows and supports me on here; it does keep me going through the hard times. Still, a couple of tickets left to my late show in London on 6th April if you wanna come down.”
