St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew felt pleasured and Joyous to meet the Senior citizens of St Kitts and Nevis earlier Yesterday (Wednesday), September 6, 2023, at the Seniors Independence Cultural Celebration at the National Heroes Park.
The Senior Independence Cultural Celebration event was hosted by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Ageing and Disabilities at the National Heroes Park in Conaree Village.
The event was also marked as the 40th Independence of St Kitts and Nevis under the theme “Growing Sustainably, Developing Maturely, Building Resiliency.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew was pleasured to attend the event and meet the seniors. He also emphasised their significant role and efforts in building up the nation.
He also shared some glimpses from his meeting with the seniors, highlighting several points to honour them.
In his official Facebook caption, PM Dr Terrance added, “It was a pleasure to see the joy and excitement on our Seniors’ faces earlier today at the Seniors Independence Cultural Celebration at the National Heroes Park.”
“Our seniors hold a special place in our hearts, and their wisdom and experiences have shaped the Saint Kitts and Nevis we know today. It’s an honour to celebrate Independence with them.”

Reportedly, the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Ageing and Disabilities was also pleased to host the fantastic event and honour the seniors’ golden years of living.
The Ministry was led by Dr Geoffrey Hanley and headed by Senator Hon Isalean Phillip, who remarked on the 40th Independence of the Twin Island Federation, St Kitts and Nevis and honoured all the island’s seniors.
