St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and Chief Medical Officer Dr Hazel Laws met with the representatives of the World Pediatric Project (WPP) and the Pediatrics Assistance League of St Kitts and Nevis (PALS) on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
He extended his pleasure to meet with the health representatives. The meeting was held with fruitful discussions.
The health representatives involved Carolyne Chisholm, President of the Pediatrics Assistance League St. Kitts and Nevis; Lauren Macintosh-Shallow, Executive Director of the Caribbean for World Pediatric Project; Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, Chief Medical Officer; Dr Hazel Laws.

In his Official Facebook Caption, he added, “On Thursday, Chief Medical Officer Dr Hazel Laws and I met with representatives of the World Pediatric Project (WPP) and the Pediatrics Assistance League of St. Kitts and Nevis (PALS) for fruitful discussions.
The meeting was held following the conclusion of the fifth Pediatrics Cardiological Clinic hosted by the World Pediatric Project and the Pediatrics Assistance League of St Kitts and Nevis.
Reportedly, the fifth Paediatrics Cardiological Clinic was held in Collaboration with WPP and PALS. It was a pivotal event in the federation’s healthcare calendar.
The meeting was facilitated by two highly respected pediatric cardiologists, Dr. Scott Gullquist and Dr. Christopher Chow, from the Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia. They provided crucial care to the people during their one-day event.
During this one-day clinic, the medical duo saw 18 patients, ranging from a three-week-old infant to a 15-year-old teenager.
This ongoing initiative has brought services valued at approximately 8.5 million US dollars to the federation’s children, reaffirming the long-term commitment and impact of these clinics.
