St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew marked the 78th Anniversary of the UN Yesterday (Tuesday), October 24, 2023. He emphasised the 40th Anniversary of St Kitts and Nevis Membership in the UN.
Reportedly, Yesterday (Tuesday), October 24, 2023, marked the 78th Anniversary of the UN. A lighting ceremony at the Government Headquarters was held in observance of UN Day in the headquarters of UN Day.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew took to his official social media handle recently to mark the event. On his official social media handle, he added, “Happy UN Day! As part of the global Celebration, a grand Lighting Ceremony will occur at Government Headquarters this evening.
Government Headquarters will be illuminated in a vibrant blue hue, symbolizing the Celebration of the 78th Anniversary of the UN.
It also provides a special moment to observe a noteworthy achievement for Saint Kitts and Nevis: the 40th Anniversary of our membership in the United Nations.”
Further, while marking the UN Day celebration, Prime Minister Dr Terrance shared that this joint Celebration underscores the lasting essence of global solidarity and collaboration.
Reportedly, The United Nations (UN) Lighting Ceremony at Government Headquarters in St. Kitts and Nevis was held in observance of UN Day (October 24). The Celebration was more memorable with an awe-inspiring performance by J’Kuan Kion and J’Kuane Kiondre Roache, students at the Cotton Thomas Comprehensive School.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance also delivered a feature address during the lighting ceremony held at the headquarters of St Kitts and Nevis.
He reflected this Celebration as a symbol of the nation’s commitment to the United Nations and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He shared that the day upholds the dedication and commitment of the UN. He also shared that the day reflects the historic moment of their journey.
