St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew extended his pleasure to attend the Diwali Festival with the Indian Community on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in St Kitts and Nevis. He enjoyed the Indian Cultural Celebration and shared some glimpses from the Event.
He took it to his official social media handle to mark the celebration. He added, “It was a pleasure attending the Diwali Festival of Lights on Saturday, October 4, with the Indian Community here in Saint Kitts and Nevis. I enjoyed the cultural Celebration.”
Prime Minister Dr Terrance extended his pleasure to be part of the Celebration. He also addressed the local Indian Community and was honoured to join and mark the Celebration.
Reportedly, the Diwali Gala Celebration 2023 Event was also held at Marriot, St Kitts and Nevis. A Non-profit Organisation, SKNRA, sponsored the event. The SKNRA (St Kitts and Nevis Robotics Association) hosted the event to bring the Indian community together to celebrate the Diwali Festival of Lights.
The Director of the SKNRA Programme was Hiten Samtani, and Ambassador Terrance Drew Jr. was at the 2023 Diwali Ball. The Celebration was lightened with several dance performances and music. The SKNRA was honoured to sponsor the grand event.
The local Indian Community took part in the Celebration on Saturday. They had the opportunity to share their Cultural Heritage and Indian Traditions.
The event was a vibrant testament to the rich cultural tapestry of the Indian community. The spirit of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, truly shone through.
Former Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Economic Development and Investment, Denzil Douglas, was also present at the event. He Celebrated the event with the Indian Community Members and Friends. He wore a Traditional Indian Attire called Kurta to reflect and honour Indian Culture.
