St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew visited Cayon High School Yesterday (Thursday), October 6, 2023, and shared some snapshots of his visit on his official Facebook Handle.
During his visit, he also highlighted the conditions the school has been facing. He ensured that the Government of St Kitts and Nevis has been consistently working to address the issue and providing good and quality education to every student.
Further, Prime Minister Dr Terrance also urged his community to stand together and ensure a better future for their children. He also shared some glimpses from his visit.
While highlighting the conditions at the Cayon High School, he stated, “It was truly disheartening to witness the deplorable conditions that the school is facing.”
He also mentioned that no child should have to learn in such an environment, and no teacher should have to work under these conditions.
“Rest assured, your Government is fully aware of the challenges faced by Cayon High School, and we are working tirelessly to address this issue,” he added while extending his support.
He also emphasised his and the government of St Kitts and Nevis’s commitment to providing quality education in safe and conducive environments remains unwavering.
“Let’s all come together as a community to support our schools and ensure a brighter future for our children,” he quoted while urging the people’s support.
