Slovakia: President Zuzana Čaputová. went to Tabacka to discuss various opinions

Zuzana Čaputová, Prresident of Slovakia went to Košice Tabačka where active citizens and personalities from all over eastern Slovakia were gathered and shared words on various issues.

President shared the glimpse of visit on her social media official Facebook handle and wrote:

“The real slovakia is better than the ones we see in the comments on social media. Several of us have repeatedly agreed on this in Košice Tabačka in another series of discussions “Return to Humanity”, where active citizens and personalities from all over eastern Slovakia met.”

“Nowadays, the target of hatred in the internet environment is practically everyone who does something good in accordance with their beliefs and at least a little bit of it. This feeling of dominance of hate was also heard in our discussion. I know him all too well.”

Further, she added, “probably the only way that I’ve been convinced is to stay firm and stay on my way. This is what everyone who wants to be active and engage in what they believe in is going through today.”

“To help us can remember that the real image of Slovakia is more like that described by the moved Viktoriya from Kharkiv: “One neighbor is trying to kill us and the other is helping us”. 

“She remembered our children who carried their toys to Ukrainian children. Old women who wore food and clothes. This is much more Slovak and patriotic than swearing on Facebook.”

“In our discussion, different opinions, often contradictory, sounded, nevertheless harmony, peace and faith that humanity is firmly inhabited in Slovakia and is not leaving anywhere. The people I met in Tabacka not only talk about democracy, but also create it with their actions and interest in others.”
