United Kingdom: The Sherborne Girls School, Joint CCF team, placed second in the annual Sir Steuart Pringle Trophy at CTCRM Lymstone Last week.
The Sherborne School for Girls, or Sherborne Girls, have extended pride to mark and honour the team. They also shared some more details from the last week’s performances.
The Sherborne Girls is the United Kingdom’s leading Independent day and boarding school for all-around personal development and academic fulfilment Boarding and Day School for girls aged 11 to 18.
The Head of Royal Marines, Lt Heather Clarence-Smith, has also reported several statements about the team. He said that the Sir Steuart Pringle Trophy is seen as the most physically demanding and mentally challenging event Cadets can participate in.
Sherborne Girls and Sherborne School competed together against 16 other Royal Marine sections in schools across England.
The Sherborne Girls were assessed on physical and tactical tasks, from section attacks and stretcher races to stalks, endurance courses, Urban CQB and many other critical military aspects.
The Sherborne girls were proud of their team for winning 6 out of the 12 stances, placing second overall and being the very first mixed team to enter, which is the best that Sherborne have done since 2008.
The key to the Pringle Trophy is working as a team, and we feel we got to know our teammates extremely well – identifying each other’s strengths in the weeks leading up to the event.
On each stance, the team also pushed each other to their limits to perform to the best of their abilities and were very proud of what the team had achieved.
Notably, the Sherborne Girls have remained active in various activities and events. Recently, they have also celebrated the International Day of the Girl. They urged people to continue working together, breaking barriers, championing equality, and creating a world where every girl can dream without limits.
They also extended their support to inspiring, supporting and empowering girls everywhere.
