sanctions of western nations problems President Vladimir Putin

The recent sanctions imposed by the Western nations on Russia due to ongoing war will directly affect President Vladimir Putin, who will not be able to use Botox, reports have said. It is due to the announcement made by some pharmaceutical companies in the wake of economic punishment.

Among these companies are Eli Lilly and Co, Novartis and Abbvie Inc, which as per the reports, made an announcement last week that they would continue to supply essential medicines for the treatment of cancer and diabetes but will halt “non-essential” products.

As per the reports, Abbvie owns the celebrated wrinkle treatment product Botox and has said it has temporarily suspended operations for all its aesthetic products in Russia.

Several media outlets have widely reported the use of Botox by President Putin. The reports stated that the Russian President was criticised on Twitter. Many hashtags flooded social media on rumours about Putin’s Botox use started after he visited Kyiv in October 2021 as Russia’s Prime Minister, where he “sported a massive blue-and-yellow bruise around his eye.”

The sixty-nine-year-old Russian leader has been often seen with a smooth forehead, rosy cheeks and wrinkle-free area around the eyes. There are several claims that Putin has had several cosmetic procedures over the years, including Botox. Whereas, an Australian doctor has claimed earlier this month that the Russian leader has had “too much filler.”

At the same time, neither Putin nor Russia has officially made any statement on these rumours that have been swinging around for years.
