Romanian car manufacturer Dacia completes 10 years in UK

United Kingdom: Dacia, the biggest carmaker based in Romania, marks its 10th anniversary in the UK in 2023. The authorities said that it had been an unforgettable decade for Dacia in the United Kingdom. From the first registered Sandero in 2013 to the recent launch of their first Hybrid, they brought good thinking and adventure to the nation each year.

Dacia is Romania’s biggest carmaker. In 1999, Renault purchased 51% of Dacia’s shares following its privatization. Presently, the French company holds 99.43% of Dacia’s total shares.

With over 240,000 Dacia vehicles finding homes in the UK, they took the opportunity to thank their customers through their official Facebook accounts. Dacia wrote, “We can’t wait to show you what we’ve got in store for the rest of 2023 and beyond! What would you like to see from Dacia over the next ten years?”

Dacia marked a decade of redefining the essentials since its official UK launch in 2013. Notably, a total of 240,010 Dacia vehicles have been sold around the UK in the last ten years. The company said that the rugged Duster is the country’s most popular model, having 88,488 sales over this period.

The first vehicle registered in the UK was a Sandero sold in January 2013, and Glacier White colour is the most selected one with the original top-of-the-range Laureate trim treasured with customers.

The success of the company in the United Kingdom shows no sign of slowing down as the brand enters 2023, having achieved a rise in year-on-year sales of 55% in 2022. Recently, the company has embarked on a thrilling new chapter with a new identity & the inauguration of its first Hybrid – the seven-seater Jogger Hybrid 140.

The Brand Director of the car company for the UK, Luke Broad, stated that Dacia has grown and innovated for ten years. Still, the company’s focus on providing UK car buyers with an unparalleled blend of quality and value is as strong as ever.
