Rolling back to its history, the Leeds Castle, located in the heart of the Kent region, shared a great history behind it; in the late 19th Century, A wealthy man named Robert Fairfax owned the Castle for 46 years. In 1973, the Castle was passed to another leader of the time, Waykeham Martins.
The Wykeham Martins were forced to sell the Castle and estate in 1924 to meet death duties. The last private owner of the Leeds Castle was the Hon. Olive, Lady Baillie, who was the daughter of Almeric Paget, 1st Baron Queenborough and his first wife, An American heiress Pauline Payne Whitney.
