Pop band The “1975” to replace Lewis Capaldi at Reading & Leeds


Glasgow, United Kingdom: Matt Healy, the frontman of The 1975 pop band, revealed that they will be replacing Lewis Capaldi at Reading & Leeds, which will take place from 26th August to 27th August 2023. 

He shared this information while the band was playing at Glasgow’s most prominent music fest, TRNSMT festival, on 9th July and updated the same on their Twitter handle. 


Not only will the band take Capaldi’s slot, but to make the event extra special, they will be performing their 2013 self-titled debut album in its entirety to mark its 10th anniversary.

If you haven’t, go and get them. We’ll see you there”.

The Reading and Leeds Festival are a pair of annual music festivals that takes place in Reading and Leeds. The event takes place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August. The festival is held at Little John’s Farm on Richfield Avenue in Central Reading near Caversham .Bridge.

The Reading Festival is the oldest festival in UK which is still existing, it is popular worldwide many of the biggest bands in the UK and internationally have played at the festival.
