Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew introduces the new CT scan installed at JNF General Hospital. Dr Drew explained that the goal of installing the CT scanning equipment is to have it up and running by September.
The machine is 125 slices, which means it is so advanced and its purpose is to diagnose heart disease. With this thing in mind, PM Terrance Drew thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Health of Saint Kitts and Nevis and the Special Representative for Health, Dr Frank Laws, for making this possible.
Earlier, the Laboratory Division of the Ministry of Health received supplies from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) to continue to strengthen the laboratory services of the blood bank. This included examination equipment, a phlebotomy chair and a cabinet.
This would greatly improve the quality of services provided by the unit because the authority is working hard to improve the services in JNF Hospital. The Saint Kitts and Nevis Ministry of Health, in partnership with the PAHO, is said to have launched a comprehensive two-day Workplace Health Workshop.
This was an important event to develop a strong framework and promote health and wellbeing in the workplace and is intended to be rolled out across the Department and subsequently to all government sectors.

Minister of Health, Curtin Martin shared photos of the CT scan machine they received at the hospital and announced that their brand-new CT scan is coming to the island. The journey continues brick by brick.
Later, citizens on social media praised PM Terrance Drew for his impressive work. Social media user Wendy Knight commented: “While some are wreaking havoc and mischief on Facebook every day, others are busy improving the lives of others and improving service. God is amazing and by his grace to this government, the Ministry of Health .is revolutionizing healthcare for the masses for profit. Trust God’s guidance and wisdom in your decisions.”
Another person, Cleon Rey, expressed, “God must have a job. What a great God we serve. For your work God bless you Commander in Chief. Shalom”.
