PM Terrance Drew congratulates Non-resident Ambassador to Venezuela Norgen Wilson following accredition

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew congratulated Dr Norgen Wilson – the new non-Resident Ambassador to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The accreditation of Dr Wilson by the Venezuelan President came on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

The government of St Kitts and Nevis felt pleased to announce that Dr Norgen Maxwell Wilson has been officially received by Nicolas Maduro – the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as the new non-resident Ambassador of St Kitts & Nevis to Venezuela.

The Ambassador was presented his Letter of Credentials on Tuesday morning during an official ceremony with the President and various other Government heads. The country of Venezuela has restated its pledge to boost its friendly relations with the Caribbean people, and this is a sign of their first step towards the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis.

President was also pleased to announce this through social media in which he wrote that he is always delighted to receive brotherly people, represented by Norgen Maxwell Wilson, who handed him his credentials as Ambassador of St Kitts & Nevis in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The President further welcomed him, saying, “Welcome to the Homeland of Bolivar and Chavez! Following the union of our nations.”

While outlining his duties, the government of St Kitts and Nevis said that Dr Norgen Wilson would be assigned to represent and safeguard the interests of the government of the island nation, promote and maintain friendly and diplomatic relations, coordinate the execution of the foreign policy priorities of the Federation, undertake the coordination of consular services and matter as well as explore avenues for trade promotion along with looking for educational opportunities for the people of St Kitts & Nevis with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, among several other minor duties.

The development will boost the diplomatic and friendly ties between both nations, which would mutually benefit them.
