PM Terrance Drew attends event hosted by St Kitts/Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis- Dr Terrance Drew, attended the event hosted by St Kitts/Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities (SKNAPD). He held an interactive engagement with the hearing impaired and parents during the event.

The meeting was held at the Early Childhood Conference Room located at Victoria Road, Basseterre.

PM Terrance Drew took to social media, shared glimpses of the event and called it a significant engagement with the people. He cited, “Earlier today, I engaged in interactive discussions with the hearing impaired and parents at an event hosted by St Kitts/Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities (SKNAPD).”

PM Terrance Drew expressed pleasure in learning various things from people and getting to know a bit of sign language. During the event, there was an interactive engagement between the prime minister and these people who expressed their concerns and issues wholeheartedly.

PM Drew added, “It was a fruitful and rather insightful dialogue, and I even learned a bit of sign language. It is never too late to learn something new.” The attendees were able to openly express their concerns and views on several issues that directly affect them.

PM Terrance Drew led St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party administration, has prioritized the health sector of the country and launched several productive measures to set a progressive path for the sector.

PM Drew also pledged to provide efficient and top-notch health services and facilities to the people so that their health could pave the path for betterment and improvement. Working on his aim, PM Terrance Drew recently announced the resumption of the eye surgery facility at the Joseph N. France General Hospital.

He stated that the equipment, to the tune of hundreds of thousands, had to be ordered once it was discovered that the eye clinic was without equipment.

“I will also provide an update on the children receiving heart surgery in the coming week,”said the prime minister.
