Dominica: The Prime Minister of Dominica, Hon Roosevelt Skerrit, is deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Frankie’ Krazy Tee’ Bellot, the owner of Kairi FM, a radio station in Dominica.
His passing was announced Tuesday morning via Kairi FM’s official Facebook page. He died on April 23 April 23, 2024, after a period of illness.
“Our family is saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Frankie “Krazy” Symes Bellot on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. He was known to many of us as “Krazy. He had a deep passion for fostering unity in diverse communities, facilitating meaningful dialogues, and supporting community growth,” the announcement said.Â
 “I was saddened to learn this morning of the passing of Comrade Frankie Bellot, a dear friend and colleague, who had been ailing for some time,” Skerrit writes on his Official Facebook page.
He continued, “As Political Leader of the Dominica Labour Party, I remember Krazy for his steadfast support of our party’s programs and policies, his honesty on matters of politics and government, and his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand. I am honored to have known Krazy and called him a friend.”
PM’s wife, Melissa Popppone Skerrit, was also saddened by the news of Frankie’ Krazy’s death. She said that Bellot was a pioneering figure in the media industry and a staunch proponent of frank political discourse in Dominica. As the proprietor of Kairi FM, established in 1994, Bellot championed the growth of broadcast media and provided a platform for promoting Dominica’s arts and culture.
Finally, on behalf of the Government of Dominica and the Dominica Labour Party, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit expresses his heartfelt condolences to his wife, Catia, his children, and the Kairi FM family. “May his family find comfort in their memories of him and the legacy of his life’s work.” He noted.
