A man has been charged with attempt to murder after a stabbing incident at Pub in east London.
Twenty-nine-year-old Phillip Kemps was charged on July 26 and will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on January 9, 2023.
On July 23 man was stabbed at Pub on Hornchurch High Street. Following the incident, a 23-year-old man was taken to hospital, where doctors said his injuries were non-life threatening.
Met stated that the office is aware that a video of the incident has been shared on social media. Following this charge, the office would remind the public that nothing should be shared, posted or published that could risk prejudicing future court proceedings.
The detective Sergeant Simon Williams said that this was a fast-moving investigation, and the detective thanked the many members of society who got in touch to assist with our enquiries.
In addition, detective Sergeant Simon Williams from the local policing team in Havering said he is aware of footage of the incident, which has been posted on social media. I would ask the public to stop sharing the video out of respect for the victim and avoid prejudicing future court proceedings.”
The Pub shared the Facebook post saying, “Sadly, last night we had an incident here at outside our Pub. Thankfully, due to the speedy actions of the Met office members and our medically trained door team, the incident was dealt with wiseness, and we are pleased to say the victim is well and recovering.”
