Leicester City: Sikh girl faces online harassment for supporting Hindus amid unrest

Some Unidentified people across the globe are harassing a Sikh girl who stood up for the Hindu temple and was disrespected by Muslim Mob in Leicester City in London. 

As per the Twitter user, he shared the information without the victim’s permission. In a conversation with the Twitter user, the victim shared that she got a message from an anonymous account on Instagram on September 21. 

The unidentified user intimidated her, saying that all the information about the girl was known to her. The victim revealed that she came to understand that the user attended the same school she attends.

The victim further revealed that after she stood up for the unrest in London, she continued to receive text threats from anonymous users. She even said that she opposed the attack by the rioters and that it was in opposition to Islam.

The Sikh girl living in London added that the people who are threatening her know everything about her, ranging from the length of her hair to that she is Vegan. 

The users then kept intimidating her, saying that she attends a Muslim majority school and should stay careful in expressing her views.

She continued receiving threats and vulgar pictures. No more details in the matter are known further except that the victim is receiving no help from the authorities. 

Leicester city in the United Kingdom witnessed

 communal tension between Hindu and Muslim communities, leading to the arrest of two in an area with a mixed population of both communities.

The disturbance between both communities began after the India Vs Pakistan cricket match of Asia Cup 2022 on August 28.

The latest episode led to the disrespectful behaviour of the mob against the Hindu religion. On September 17, a group belonging to the Hindu community started a march chanting “Jai Shri Ram”.
