According to the United Kingdom-based publication the Independent cites sources inside Downing Street, Liz Truss will hold a meeting with King Charles at Buckingham Palace, where she will formally tender her resignation.

After taking up the official resignation from former Prime Minister Liz Truss, King Charles III will meet up with the newly elected Conservative party member. Britain’s Monarch He will officially appoint Indian-origin Rishi Sunak as Prime Minister of the UK.

At around 11:35 am local time, Rishi Sunak will address the nation for the first time as its first Indian-origin prime minister.

Sunak will be the 5th UK Prime Minister in six years. His appointment as prime minister occurred after Liz Truss announced her resignation as Britain’s 56th prime minister on October 20.

Rishi Sunak’s win came on a day when communities celebrated Diwali.
