Finally, the battle and struggles of Britney Spears to get rid of her Conservatorship are over. Her father, Jamie Spears has himself filed a petition to end up his role as the Conservator of her estate. The media sources have confirmed that Jamie Spears has decided to end this years-long battle now.
Notably, Britney’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, has made his statement and said, “This filing represents a massive legal victory for Britney Spears, as well as vindication. Having exposed his misconduct and improper plan to hold his daughter hostage by trying to extract a multi-million dollar settlement, Mr. Spears has now effectively surrendered. There is no settlement.”
Further, attorney Mathew has said that Jamie Spears believes that he can now very comfortably avoid accountability and justice, which involves mainly sitting for a vow deposition and replaying the other findings under the vows.
Adding to his statement, the lawyer also noted that Jamie is himself incorrect and the investigations of the financial mismanagement and other cases will continue to be done.
As per the media information, it is claimed that Mr. spears, 69 has filed the petitions and has also provided the necessary documents to the Superior Court in Los Angles. The petition was filed on the 7th of September for ending up his duties as a Conservator. Evidently, this legal fight of the Conservatorship battle first began in 2008.
The Petition clearly notes, “Mr. Spears believes that Ms. Spears is entitled to have this Court now seriously consider whether this conservatorship is no longer required. It further claims that the pop lady’s circumstances have now modified ‘to such an extent that grounds for the confirmation of a conservatorship, that must not last long.'”
Additionally, the petition also argues in his daughter’s favor and clarifies that Britney would not ever require none of the probate codes for undergoing the phycological evaluation, to end this Conservatorship
Last month also Jamie drafted the documents in the Court that he himself would step done as the Conservator, at the right and perfect time. In August, the Court documents which were obtained by the media clearly claimed that after the transition phase would end, Jamie would end his role as a Conservatorship.
The documents drafted by Jamie on his behalf stated, “There are, in fact, no actual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the Conservator of the Estate. And it is highly debatable whether a change in conservator at this time would be in Ms. Spears’ best interests.”
That Petition read, “Even as Mr. Spears is the unremitting target of unjustified attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests. So, even though he must contest this unjustified Petition for his removal, Mr. Spears intends to work with the Court and his daughter’s new attorney to prepare for an orderly transition to a new conservatory.”
Further, the document noted, “Mr. Spears is willing to step down when the time is right, but the transition needs to be orderly and includes a resolution of matters pending before the Court.”
Since 2008, the pop singer is trapped in this Conservatorship and has been struggling hard to get out of this. The Conservatorship terms that the singer can’t get married, can’t drive a car on her own, and also can’t remove her IUD, despite Britney’s been working continuously in the media.
In 2019, the media also confirmed that Britney’s father has requested a ‘temporary hand over of the Conservatorship powers, due to the personal health-related issues. that time, the singer’s care manager, Jodi Montgomery presumed the roles.
Soon, a year later, the singer on her part requested the permanent removal of Mr. Spear’s role as her Conservatorship. An Insider claimed, “Britney and her dad have a complicated relationship. Jamie stepped in at a time in Britney’s life when she was extremely vulnerable to predators seeking to exploit her for financial gain. Over time, Britney began to resent her dad, who was truly in a no-win position.”
The bygone Mouseketeer also revealed the strict rules of the Conservatorship in 2021, for the first time, while they were in a court hearing. Later she slammed Mr. Jamie for his role in the argument.
She said, “My dad and anyone involved in this Conservatorship and my management who played a key role in punishing me — they should be in jail.”She also stated that she needs to get her life back and live on her own terms and conditions. The singer has no right to control her own finances and has not taken any of her personal decisions for about the last 13 years.
Earlier, Mathew Rosengart noted, “Britney Spears will not be bullied or extorted by her father. Nor does Mr. Spears have the right to try to hold his daughter hostage by setting the terms of his removal. This is not about him, it is about the best interests of his daughter, which as a matter of law, mandate his removal.”
Britney’s lawyer added and said, “Even putting aside the legal issues requiring his prompt removal, if he loves his daughter, Mr. Spears should resign now, today, before he is suspended. It would be the correct and decent thing to do.”
In the last petition, Jamie also mentioned that his daughter, Britney is suffering from mental and emotional health issues and needs proper treatment. He even said that when required he himself went to rescue his daughter, while she was ‘in crisis and immediately required someone’s help’ after Spears was ‘suffering mentally and emotionally’ and ‘being manipulated by predators and in financial distress.’
Jamie’s Lawyer, that time also condemned Jamie’s ex-wife, Lynn for she filed a document in the court. In that Petition, she keenly expressed the requirement for freedom her daughter needs at this point in her life. Further, Lynn too stated that Britney is suffering from ‘fear and other health-related issues’ within her.
Notably, the conservator of Britney Spears has also alleged that the estate of Britney Spears needs to for the security following the death threats the pop lady received amidst the media-grown coverage and also demanded the security-related services for about 24 hours.
Although, her father, Jamie Spears, strongly denied this and objected to the request of Montgomery for 24/7 live security services, which were estimated to be about $50,000 per month.
Britney’s lawyer also mentioned that the singer and her loved ones seek forward to justice. Mathew said, “We look forward to continuing our vigorous investigation into the conduct of Mr. Spears, and others, over the past 13 years, while he reaped millions of dollars from his daughter’s estate, and I look forward to taking Mr. Spears’ sworn deposition in the near future.
