The famous character “Hagrid” of Harry Potter, who Actor Robbie Coltrane played, died at the age of seventy-two on Saturday.
Robbie Coltrane also played as a former KGB agent-turned-Russian mafia boss in the two most famous James Bond films “Goldeneye” (1995) and “The World Is Not Enough” (1999) with Pierce Brosnan.
The Harry Potter cast includes British actor Daniel Redcliffe who played the iconic role in the Harry Potter series, along with the writer of the book, JK Roling shared their heartfelt condolonces on Social media.
The Social media was swept with this heartfelt news of the sudden death of the seventy-two-year-old and most loved character of Harry Potter “Hagrid”.
Sharing the photograph along with the caption Daniel Redcliffe wrote heartfelt condolences, wording,” Robbie was one of the funniest people I’ve met and used to keep us constantly laughing as kids on the set”.
Coltrane and Radcliffe starred together in all eight ‘Harry Potter movies, from the ‘Sorcerer’s Stone in 2001 to ‘Death Hallows Part 2’ in 2011.
Daniel Redcliffe added, ” I’ve especially fond memories of him keeping our spirits up on ‘Prisoner of Azkaban,’ when we were all hiding from the torrential rain for hours in Hagrid’s hut, and he was telling stories and cracking jokes to keep morale up.
“I feel fortunate that I got to meet and work with him and very sad that he’s passed. He was an incredible actor and a lovely man.”
The famous writer known for her renowned Harry Potter book series shared a post on her official Twitter handle, “I’ll never know anyone remotely like Robbie again. He was an incredible talent, a complete one-off.”
Rowling added in a caption wording, “and I was beyond blessed to know him, work with him for several years and laugh my heart out with him, my dear Robbie. I send my love and deepest consolations to his family, above all, his children.”
