Governor Jane Owen Expresses gratitude at reception hosted by Hon. Premier

UK: The Governor of the Cayman Islands, Jane Owen, expressed her gratitude and pleasure from the Saturday, April 22, 2023 reception party hosted by the Hon. Premier G. Wayne Panton at Pedro St James, Cayman Islands in the evening in honour of the arrival of her excellency in the administration.

The Governor of the Cayman Islands, Jane Owen, took to her social media recently and expressed her gratitude to the Hon. Premiere of Cayman Islands G. Wayne Panton for hosting the Beautiful reception party on Saturday, April 21, 2022, at Pedro St James.

The Governor of the Cayman Islands, Jane Owen, shared that the Hon. Premier G. Wayne Panton, who has served as a member of Parliament in Bodden Town as a Cabinet Miniter from 2013-2017, hosted a beautiful reception at Pedro St James Saturday, A[ril 21, 2023 in the evening in honour of the arrival of her excellency. Ahead of the reception party, she also shared that she was given a tour of the historic Pedro Castle. Governor Jane Owen also shared some Glimpses from the reception party.

Along with the governor, Jane Owen, The authorities in attendance, including the Hon. Chief Justice, the Hon. Speaker of the House, Members of Parliament, other senior government officials and members of the Cayman community, were also present to honour her.

Governor Jane Owen, alongside her daughter Phoebe, experienced some Cayman culture with poetry, dance and musical performances throughout the evening. During her remarks, Governor Jane Owen spoke about the unique and vital relationship between Cayman and the United Kingdom.

She stated, “A partnership of trust and respect that continues to grow in a changing world and which offers benefits to both sides in terms of global reach, a diversity of experience, shared values and new ideas.”

Reportedly, Governor Jane Owen will spend her first week in Cayman in introductory meetings before heading to London in early May to attend the Coronation of His Majesty The King and the Joint Ministerial Council alongside the Hon. Premier.
