United Kingdom: The Member of Parliament for Keighley constituency in the United Kingdom, Robbie Moore, expressed his pleasure hearing the Government’s announcement to review plans for the new train station in Bradford. He shared that the new train station will connect the districts and strengthen their economic prosperity.
As per the Update, after a continuous struggle, the Government has finally agreed to review the plans for the Integrated Rail Plan and revisit intends to incorporate a new train station in Bradford.
On this, the Member of Parliament for Keighley, Robbie Moore, extended his pleasure recently and shared some future beneficiaries to the districts.
Despite being one of Britain’s biggest cities, Bradford’s connectivity could be much better, which affects constituents in Keighley and other wider areas, MP Robbie highlights.
“The Government’s announcement on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, that they will now reconsider the development of a new station in Bradford as part of the Northern Powerhouse Rail development plan is exceptionally good news, as this will create much better connectivity for the District and drive positive economic prosperity – for not only Bradford City but Keighley and our wider area,” he added.
Further, MP Robbie also shared the transport statistics, which are going to be added to the UK’s economy by 2060 and create several more opportunities and economic development for the nation.
“Transport For the North estimates that if delivered, the network is predicted to contribute £14.4 billion in annual gross value added (GVA) to the UK economy by 2060 and create up to 74,000 new jobs in the North.
Today, in the House of Commons chamber, I welcomed this news but also pushed the Secretary of State for Transport to meet with me and prioritise this issue,” he shared.
At last, while concluding with all the improvisations, MP Robbie remarks that he will continue to work collaboratively with Government and ensure better and worthy attention to the transport system.
