Besides the facing delays, flights from Germany are expected to fly in the Summer. Experts have also been alerted about the rising numbers of planes in Germany in the coming months.

European skies are already busy and facing disruptions due to sanctions imposed by the EU and Russia on each other.
The European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) has revealed in its latest report that the routing of flights is disrupting traffic over a wide area within the European Union.

According to Eurocontrol, Lithuania has lost about 200 overflights per day between mid-February and mid-March due to the current situation. The reduction in more than half of such overflights is because flow to and from Russia has stopped.

“Flights between Turkey and Russia continue but have decreased by about 30 percent. However, Lithuania has received about 18 flights per day on this flow as they keep further West to avoid Belarus.” This is more than offset by the reduction in overflights to and from Asia, also because Belarus is closed,” Eurocontrol said.

Furthermore, the same states that there has been a ten percent increase in flights between China and Germany despite the current situation. Hungary has also reported a rise in overflights. The latter has registered an increase of 29 per cent due to the rerouting of the flow.
