United Kingdom: Edson Arantes do Nascimento, popularly known as Pele, the Brazilian football legend’s health has been getting worse as he continues to battle against cancer. As his family recently updated, Pele said goodbye to family members, friends and dear ones from the hospital bed as he is slowly losing his battle to cancer and his condition is worsening even further with every passing day, while he has been placed under elevated care.”

The fans from all over the world are now praying for a miraculous recovery of their favourite footballer. Meanwhile, an image of Pele’s daughter resting with him on his hospital bed while hugging him has left the fans really emotional and touched by the pain his family is going through.

Earlier, on November 30, 2022, Pele was hospitalized at the Albert Einstein hospital, which left his fans and the entire football fraternity worried about his well-being. However, his daughter informed him about his status, which according to her, wasn’t so serious and surprising at that point of time.

Back in 2021, Pele had undergone surgeries when the tumour was removed from his colon; however, the ill-effects of chemotherapy had been showing up that left worse after-effects.

Pele is considered as ‘The Greatest ever by the Federation International Football Association(FIFA), considering his unmatched and unrivalled legacy in the football field, and the fan base he owns across the world. He is one of the most successful players of the game, with three FIFA World cups in his closet.

While he was active in football, he was the highest-paid footballer at that time. Following his retirement from the game, he served as the Minister of Sports in Brazil from 1995-1998.
