European Tibetans to protest against Chinese colonial rule in Rome (PC - Twitter)
Several European Tibetans will converge in Rome to observe the 64th anniversary of the Tibetan National Rebellion against the Chinese colonial rule over Tibet, reported the sources. The Tibetan Office, which has jurisdiction over the host country, works with the Tibetan Community of the host city as the primary host of the biennial general meetings/sessions of the coalition of 15 Tibetan Associations in Europe, representing Tibetans residing in Europe.
Rome was again chosen as the destination for the huge rally to be held in March 2023 at the final meeting of the group, which took place in Milan in early October 2022. Choosing the location for an yearly mass Tibetan National Uprising rally in Europe is one of the primary topics of discussion at these biennial seminars.
According to the sources, the Tibetan Uprising Rally will see a gathering of 60,000 Tibetans in 2023. Inside Chinese-occupied Tibet, there is zero room for any dissent. Associazione Italia-Tibet, gstf sast, & International Campaign for Tibet are sponsoring the mass uprising rally.
Notably, the rally is being hosted by the Tibetan Community in Italy in partnership with other Tibetan Communities in Europe. Many oppressed ethnic groups, which included Hongkongers, Uyghur Muslimes, Taiwanese in Italy and Southern Mongolians, will take part in the demonstration, which is being held in support of the Tibetans.
Tibetans residing in Europe want to remind the world community that the Tibet issue is still open by conducting this huge rally in Rome. They are looking for a way to the protracted Sino-Tibetan war. For too long, the globe has ignored the situation and needs to take action on Tibet now. The sources added that Tibetans encourage Europe and its leaders to support Tibet and say that Europe can set an example for the world. The European leaders have not yet commented on the situation.
