Keele, England: Keele University, located in the Staffordshire countryside, shared a heartwarming story of a couple who met at Keele and embarked on their life-long journey. The story was shared by the university on its official Facebook account on the eve of Valentine’s Day, which falls annually on February 14.

The story circled around Phuong Le, who travelled more than 6,000 miles from Vietnam to study at Keele and met her future husband, Mark, just minutes after arriving on campus. Le lived a perfect fairy tale, and her story started on the beautiful campus of Keele.

Phuong Le said, “I arrived at Keele late on a Sunday, and I shared a taxi with Mark and his friend from the University reception to Hawthorns Hall. It was my first time in the UK, and I realised I had left my passport in the taxi. Mark helped me contact the taxi company to get it back and settle in at Keele. He was my first friend at Keele when I didn’t know anyone.”

Fast forward 13 years, and the couple will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary later this year. They even had their engagement photos were taken on campus, such as their love for Keele! They now live in Nottingham with their two children, Henry and Leo.

Mark said, “Even though we now live in a different city, we still visit Keele from time to time to reminisce and return to where Hawthorns Hall used to be. Keele will always hold a special place in our hearts as it’s where we met each other and our relationship began.”

Valentine’s Day falls annually on February 14, and on this day, people around the world celebrate love in different ways to mark their love for their partners. Keele University also shared glimpses of the couple on their official Facebook account, which showed their strong love which is still powerful and is setting an example for everyone.
