Belgrade, April 18, 2024:Â The Prime Minister of Dominica, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, met with Serbian leaders, including President Aleksandar Vucic and Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic, during his visit to Belgrade on April 18, 2024.
During the meeting with the President, the Dominican prime minister discussed developing bilateral relations, focusing on economic partnerships, geopolitical dynamics, and regional collaborations—the conference aimed to strengthen the bond between the two nations.
President Vucic invited Dominica to participate in EXPO 2027 and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the country for supporting Serbia’s successful bid to host the prestigious event.
The Serbian President thanked Dominicans for respecting the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and the principles of international law, hoping that Dominica would be with them in all questions of state and national interest for Serbia.
 “Our goal is to continue fostering comprehensive cooperation, building on the solid foundation of shared interests,” the Serbian leader added.
The parties agreed to increase cooperation between our two countries in areas of mutual interest and will seek to expand our partnerships in agriculture and higher education.
The two nations will continue to develop overall cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, both with the Commonwealth of Dominica and within regional organizations of the Western Hemisphere, in which Serbia has the status of an observer.
PM Skerrit also met with Ana Brnabic, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. Their dialogue further supported the commitment to deepening the economic connections between the two countries.
Prime Minister Skerrit attended the “Our Oceans Conference,” held in Athens, Greece, on Wednesday. On that day, i.e., April 17, 2024, he also met with His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco on the margins of the Athens Conference.
PM Skerrit also shared his experience meeting with Serbian officials on his Facebook account; the public praised him for his continuous work engaging with international partners.Â
