Dominica: Minister Melissa Skerrit announces opening of National Assessment Champions program for Grade 6

The Minister for Housing and Urban Development of Dominica, Melissa Skerrit, felt pleased to announce that the National Assessment Champions program is open for all Grade 6 students in Roseau Central. The development was announced by Minister Skerrit through her official Facebook account.

She further said that since the inception of National Assessment Champions, this program has consistently had a student who held a position in the top ten scholars islandwide.

While calling the students to register themselves for this prestigious program, the parliamentary representative of Roseau Central, Melissa Skerrit, said, “I am proud of all that these young minds have achieved and look forward to seeing them thrive! Call to register.”

As per the information provided by Melissa Skerrit, the classes will be free for all students of Grade 6 and will start from March 1, 2023, onwards. The registration will be done at the Roseau Central Constituency Office.

Catherine Robinson, Graduate Trained Teacher with over 25 years of experience in teaching, will be assisting the children in the study of past exam papers and grade 6 homework to help them ace the National Assessment.

The National Assessment Champions program has been handled by Minister Melissa Skerrit for the last few years in her constituency – Roseau Central, as she is always engrossed in students’ academic development, and every year Catherine Robinson leads the program and teaches them.

Several citizens praised the parliamentary representative of Roseau Central for taking care of students’ education and always giving it a push so that children could participate actively in academic activities.

“Always ready on the go to another activity for the kids. Great work,” wrote a user named Nadia Karam.

“Mrs Skeritt is Blue Print on how a Parl Rep should represent their Constituents and Constituency. Everything Madame promised During her campaign, she delivered. For the record, yes, I am keeping count out there somewhere in the diaspora,” wrote another user named Linthia Seaman.
